Join Dr. India White and Nick Lopez, Big Ideas Learning co-authors, as well as Dr. Dakeyan Graham, 2020 Florida Teacher of the Year, for a special three-part webinar series on Equity and Access.
What is Equity? How can you implement equitable math practices in the classroom? Through Dr. White’s research and personal experiences, along with examples from Equity in Action, this session will explore the power of equity and how to implement equitable practices in the math classroom, starting today!
This session will provide a clear differentiation between equality and equity and how they translate from the classroom to the real world. When our mentality shifts from an equality mindset to one based around equity, all facets of the community are provided with the opportunity to experience success.
In this session, we will discuss and engage with instructional practices highlighting a focus on creating learning environments that honor and prioritize student voice. When we plan with equity in mind, learner engagement improves and student outcomes can soar.
